We took the Cardiak to Amoeba Records in Los Angeles to make his blindfolded picks for the records he would be attempting to flip. Little did Cardiak know, he would pick out some self-described “bullshit.” But that didn’t stop him from making the best out of his picks, primarily using Allure’s “Kool Wit Me” to craft his patented hard-hitting wave of layered funk. Cardiak did this shit pretty effortlessly, despite almost striking out three times on his record picks.
Who Is Cardiak?

Cardiak also received much attention winning various iStandard Producer Showcases, and now frequently judges the events.
“The need to find that break, the need to get that twelve [inch], the need to find out what that sample is from your favorite rap song, the itch that you get buying records and getting into records is so much more powerful than any MP3 collector can ever understand” – Gaslamp Killer on Fuse TV’s Crate Diggers
Rhythm Roulette. We challenge producers to make a beat out from three random records. The only catch is that they have to be blindfolded when they pick them out.
